[MusicDose] Break Open the Sky - Toby Mac (ft. Israel Houghton)

Here's a very nice song from TobyMac. This song makes me excited to see Jesus come again. Enjoy listening and be inspired. ☺

Break Open the Sky Lyrics

From the lips of desperation
Different nations, every man's cry
Comes a song of anticipation
As we wait for a crack in the sky
Side by side, we recognize that
Hope has brought us together tonight
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Break open the sky
Won't You turn off gravity so we can fly?
We wanna see Your face
So tear the roof off this place
Jesus, break open the sky

So we sing
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

We believe, and we imagine
'Til the dawn of our beautiful dream
Through the noise, I hear the voices
Melodies that are flooding our streets
Not forgotten, are your people
So let a thousand church bells ring
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Come, Jesus, come
Come quickly
Come quickly

Break open, open the sky

[MusicDose] God in Me - Mary Mary (feat. Kierra Kiki Sheard)

I just wanna tell the truth man [4x]

[Verse 1:]
Your so fly your so high
Everbody around you trying to figure out why
Your so cool you win all the time
Everywhere you go man you get alot of shine
Boy like a magnet better yet I have it
Everything you wear people say they got have it
From the sweat suit to the white tee to the gucci
You can probably say people wanna get like me

[Hook:]
But what they don't know is when you go home
and get behind closed doors man you hit the floor
and what they can't see is your on your knees
So the next time you get it just tell em

[Chorus:]
It's the God in me [5x]
you think I'm so fresh you think I'm so clean
You think I'm so sweet It's the God in me
[Kiki:]
What is it, you think you see?
It's the God in Me

[Verse 2:]
You see her style you think she nice
you look at her whip you say the whip tight
You look at her crib you thinkin she paid
you look at her life you think she's got it made
but everything she got the girl's been given
She calls it a blessing but you call it living
When it comes to money she can be a hero
She writes them checks with a whole lot of zeros

[Hook:]
But what you don't know is when she get home
and get behind closed doors man she hit the floor
and what you can't see is she on her knees
And if you ask her she'll tell ya

[Chorus:]
It's the God in me [5x]
you think I'm so fresh you think I'm so clean
You think I'm so sweet It's the God in me
[Kiki:]
What is it, you think you see?
It's the God in Me

[Kiki:]
What is it you think you see
when you see me, you see me
You don't know how much I pray
don't know how much I gave
don't know how much I changed
I'm just tryna explain

[Chorus:]
It's the God in me [5x]
you think I'm so fresh you think I'm so clean
You think I'm so sweet It's the God in me
[Kiki:]
What is it you think you see? Its The God in Me

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah Its the God in Me Yeeah.

[MusicDose] Find You Waiting - Decemberadio

From this day onward I'll be posting MusicDose posts. Tonight I'll share with you this inspiring song from Decemberadio. Very beautiful and inspiring song.

I've heard the angels and I've seen the devil
Fought with the lion, sent through the fire
I've been in the valley when it was dry
Walked through the desert to the other side

I'm not a preacher and I'm not a hero
My life has never been that kind
But there is one thing that I hold onto
I am yours, and Lord you are mine

CHORUS
And through all these years You have been there
Dried all my tears and answered my prayers
I just want to feel your presence again
I'm down on my knees in need a friend
And I find you waiting there for me

I've seen a widow cry through her sorrow
And still raise her hands in the midst of it all
And Lord I'm reminded that when I was weary
You carried me, yes you carried me

CHORUS
And through all these years You have been there
Dried all my tears and answered my prayers
I just want to feel your presence again
I'm down on my knees in need of a friend
And I find you waiting there.....

BRIDGE
In the midst of a struggle
There is one thing I know
You'll never leave me, you'll never let go
I've heard the angels and I've seen the devil
Fought with the lion, sent straight through the fire

CHORUS
And through all these years You have been there
Dried all my tears and answered my prayers
I just want to feel your presence again
I'm down on my knees in need of a friend
And I find you waiting
And I find you waiting there for me

Waiting, I find you waiting there

God is Able - Hillsong (God is Able 2011)

I'm not sure I first heard this song, it's such a very wonderful song. By the way, this is God is Able by Hillsong on their latest album "God is Able (2011)".

Hillsong – God is Able Lyrics
[Verse 1]
God is able
He will never fail
He is almighty God
Greater than all we seek
Greater than all we ask
He has done great things
[Chorus]
Lifted up
He defeated the grave
Raised to life
Our God is able
In His name
We overcome
For the Lord
Our God is able
[Verse 2]
God is with us
God is on our side
He will make a way
Far above all we know
Far above all we hope
He has done great things
[Chorus]
Lifted up
He defeated the grave
Raised to life
Our God is able
In His name
We overcome
For the Lord
Our God is able
[Bridge]
God is with us
He will go before
He will never leave us
He will never leave us
God is for us
He has open arms
He will never fail us
He will never fail us
[Chorus x2]
Lifted up
He defeated the grave
Raised to life
Our God is able
In His name
We overcome
For the Lord
Our God is able
For the Lord
Our God is able
For the Lord
Our God is able

The Power of One - Israel Houghton

The Power of One sung by Israel Houghton on his 2009 album The Power of One.
Got revolution? We'll start it one by one!

What if it all depended on me.
To change the world.
To change the world?
What if my only responsibility was to change the world.
To change the world? Let me be the ONE.
To start a revolution.
Let me sing my song to the people of the
world. It all begins with.

ONE THE POWER OF ONE.
JOINING THE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BELIEVING IN ONE.
THE POWER OF ONE. DON’T HANG AROUND. STAND UP OR SIT DOWN.
AND BELIEVE WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD TOGETHER
WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD TOGETHER

What kind of love can conquer disease.
And change the world. And change the world?
What can I do to make poverty history.
And change the world. And change the world?
Let me be the ONE. To start a revolution.
Let me sing my song to the people of the world.
To the children of the world.

It all begins with...

Please don’t close your eyes
Please don't turn away. Let your voices rise.
Put love on display. And make a difference now.
I believe you and me. Can make a difference now.
Oh oh oh. Oh oh oh Oh oh oh It all begins with ONE

Club Worship/DJ Led Worship (Get Tha' Boom Up Ya'll!)

DJ Led Worship or Club Worship is a disco styled worship experience.

What is the history behind Club Worship how did it get started?

Jeff Stoltzfus and friends from Zion Mennonite Youth Group talked for years about organizing a Christian rave. In the fall of 99 they finally did it. In the beginning of 2000 the Lord was moving powerfully in some youth in the region, and the concept for Club Worship was birthed. The Pipeline, a group of youth on fire for Jesus Christ, became the organization that would back the whole thing. Jon Carlson worked like mad to help get a web site up, get a spot on television, and help get all the equipment together to do Club Worship. Shauna Nefos, and Dave Speers were also key people early on who really made Club Worship happen. Jose Diaz & Josh Gable got involved early on, especially in giving spiritual support through The Pipeline.

Today, so many volunteers work together to help an event like this run smoothly. Setup includes lighting, sound, sales and lots of running cables, and hauling heavy stuff around. People also volunteer behind the scenes to promote and facilitate the whole thing.

Isn't Dancing wrong?

Well sometimes it is... depending how it is done.
MTV, and our culture has twisted dance into being a sexual thing. As you look down through history, you will see many forms of dancing in different cultures. Irish people dance a certain way, as do Africans, or people from Taiwan. The Scriptures are clear that dance was a part of worship to God, and just a fun part of the Jewish culture.
Traditionally and historically people dance in groups as a performance, just for fun - freestyle, together with the opposite sex, or in worship to a variety of different gods.
Dirty Dancing has become very popular in the last several decades. Club Worship strongly discourages activity that even hints at this sensual style of dance. We also discourage dancing with a partner. Our desire is that everyone will be able to avoid the distractions of the people around them, and be able to focus on God. Its all about what Jesus has done for us... we want to give Him ALL the praise.

What are some scriptures that talk about Dancing?

-----------
ECC 3:4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
-----------
JER 31:3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:
"I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
JER 31:4 I will build you up again
and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel.
Again you will take up your tambourines
and go out to dance with the joyful.
-----------
JER 31:12 They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion;
they will rejoice in the bounty of the LORD--
the grain, the new wine and the oil,
the young of the flocks and herds.
They will be like a well-watered garden,
and they will sorrow no more.
JER 31:13 Then maidens will dance and be glad,
young men and old as well.
I will turn their mourning into gladness;
I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.
JER 31:14 I will satisfy the priests with abundance,
and my people will be filled with my bounty,"
declares the LORD.
-----------
An interesting story
2 SA 6:12 So David went down and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. [13] When those who were carrying the ark of the LORD had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. [14] David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might, [15] while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouts and the sound of trumpets.
2SA 6:16 As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart.
2SA 6:17 They brought the ark of the LORD and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before the LORD. [18] After he had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD Almighty. [19] Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. And all the people went to their homes.
2SA 6:20 When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, "How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!"
2SA 6:21 David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the LORD's people Israel--I will celebrate before the LORD. [22] I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor."
2SA 6:23 And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
the moral of the story?? Be careful if you are criticizing others for how they worship the Lord. Michal was struck barren because of her criticism. If it is a true and honest worship, the Lord loves it!
-----------
[20] Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing. [21] Miriam sang to them:
"Sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
The horse and its rider
he has hurled into the sea."
-----------
PS 30:11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
PS 30:12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
-----------
PS 149:1 Sing to the LORD a new song,
his praise in the assembly of the saints.
PS 149:2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
PS 149:3 Let them praise his name with dancing
and make music to him with tambourine and harp.
PS 149:4 For the LORD takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with salvation.
-----------
PS 150:1 Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
PS 150:2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
PS 150:3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
PS 150:4 praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
PS 150:5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
PS 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.
-----------
Jesus speaking the parable commonly known as "the prodigal son"
LK 15:25 "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. [26] So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. [27] `Your brother has come,' he replied, `and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
later...
LK 15:31 " `My son,' the father said, `you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. [32] But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "
the moral of the story?? If you get the story, Father God rejoices when his children come back to him... there is probably music and dancing in heaven... God probably dances when the backslidden are restored.

Everything To Me - Avalon [Video]

This song is a great testimonial song. Satisfy your soul with this soothing music, enjoy listening!

Lyrics:

I grew up in Sunday school
I memorized the Golden Rule
And how Jesus came to set the sinner free
I know the story inside out
I can tell you all about
The path that led Him up to Calvary
But ask me why He loves me
And I don't know what to say
But I'll never be the same
Because He changed my life when He became...

Everything to me
He's more than a story
More than words on a page of history
He's the air that I breathe
The water I thirst for
And the ground beneath my feet
He's everything, everything to me

We're living in uncertain times
And more and more I find that I'm aware
Of just how fragile life can be
I want to tell the world I found
A love that turned my life around
They need to know that they can taste and see
Now every day I'm praying
Just to give my heart away
I want to live for Jesus
So that someone else might see that He is...

Everything to me
He's more than a story
More than words on a page of history
He's the air that I breathe
The water I thirst for
And the ground beneath my feet
He's everything
And looking back over my life at the end
I'll go to meet You saying You've been

You're everything to me
You're more than a story
More than words on a page of history You're everything to me
You're more than a story
More than words on a page of history
You're the air that I breathe
The water I thirst for
And the ground beneath my feet
You're everything
Lord, You're everything to me

Jason Upton's Angelic Testimony on the Song "Fly"

Now here's a really cool testimony about angels singing with people in worship. Jason Upton is an American Christian singer, songwriter and musician and he even has his own record label Key of David Ministries. During a tour at a college auditorium, when singing the song Fly, there was these angelic voices singing with him very audibly while he was the only one singing (without the backup singers). The testimony is on the first video after the break, and the recording at the second one. And by the way, it is not Jason who is speaking on the testimony, I believe he is one of his team.

Music Workshop 2011 (Day 1)

Now, giving the opportunity to all members of Reborn Youth Fellowship, a chance to serve the Lord and His people. Music Workshop 2010 is lead by me (Angel) and is ongoing. Anyone is welcome to join the workshop.

First Day

• To all keyboard students, just remember the 1-5-4 positions for the major chord on the keys, 1-4-5 for minor chords, your assignment is to draw all the natural (no sharp, no flat) chords.

• To all guitar students, master the first two faces of the barred chords I have thought you this Sunday because you need those to master all the chords.

• Bass students, practice memorizing the notes on the fretboard and practice finger picking (index and middle finger). As to Nicole, I have already given you an exercise on hammer-ons.

Have a nice practice time - for the glory of God.

Be The Music

by Kenny on guitarpraise.blogspot.com

William Congreve once wrote (in The Mourning Bride, 1697) that "Music has charms to sooth a savage beast".

This is also reflected in the Bible, where "whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him" (1 Sam 16:23). While the Bible doesn't exactly describe the process of what happened, a good guess would be that:
i) David's worship unto God set an example for Saul to focused on God.
ii) David's music soothed Saul's emotions and gave him the inner strength to reject the spirit.

It is on (ii) that I'll briefly expand on.

I once thought about what art was, and my definition was that art (including music) was a medium that affected emotions through the senses. We might feel inspired when faced with a majestic painting; we might feel a warmth inside while enjoying the graceful moves of a dance. Similarly, music reaches deep into our emotions through sound. For example, no horror flick can ever create the necessary tension without sound (e.g. the 'Psycho' music as the killer walks into the bathroom, or the music that comes on when Jaws reaches its victims).

Hence, in the context of worship, music evokes feelings of wonder, of peace; it can uplift the wearisome spirit, it can instill feelings of hope into the downcast. But this is not an end in itself - it is by breaking down negative feelings that the worshiper becomes prepared emotionally to praise God, to receive God's word, to come into God's presence.

As worship musicians, it is our job to create music that fulfills this purpose. But music, saturated with positive emotions, does not appear out of mid-air, and neither is it carried by the chords and notes of a song. The feelings that music carries comes from the musicians themselves.

For example, Tommy Emmanuel once shared how while listening to Chet Akins' music, he felt that he knew and understood Chet, as the music was infused with Chet's personality. While listening to great music from artistes like Tommy Emmanuel and Marit Larsen, I get the feeling that I am introduced to the artistes as the music is them.

A badminton coach I met once remarked that the ratchet is not a tool, but an extension of the player's arm. Likewise, music isn't just soundwaves bouncing around, but an extension of you, of your worship, your feelings, your personality even. Returning to the David, I believe that David's music was likewise an extension of his dedication and loyalty towards God, and this positive model influenced Saul through music, better than any prep talk could.

Hence you need to ask yourself:
i) To what extent can you make a song become an extension of your personal worship, your feelings, your personality?
ii) Is the result conducive to worship? It will only be if your walk with God is close, & if you are worshiping on stage.

HIS first album "ONE PLAYER" features "Hellsong" (nominated for best religious/inspirational song in the 2008 Awit Awards) and "Ayoko Na."

HELLSONG music and lyrics by Ogie Cayabyab
(Key of G, chords are just C D Bm Em C D G)

Ang dilim dilim dilat man o pikit
Uod doon you’re the food na favorite
Kulang man ang ngipin magiging complete
Sa sakit magngangalit

chorus

Pamaypay ay wala pati electric fan
Lalong wala doong aircondition
Wala ring ni isang bombero
na sa iyo’y sasaklolo

Higanteng pugon na hindi namamatay
Mala-dagat na apoy na walang humpay
Sure na sure sa iyong maghihintay
Kung tuluyang pasaway

chorus

Ang lugar na iyon ay iwasan
Mahal mo sa buhay please pagsabihan
Dun magkitakits sa kalangitan
Si Hesus tanging daan.

Dun magkitakits sa kalangitan
Si Hesus tanging daan
Si Hesus tanging daan
Si Hesus tanging daan.

This song was a very Filipino song. It promotes patriotism and the Gospel. I was very inspired by this song.

Sing to Him a New Song, Play Skillfully

Psalm 33:3 goes: "Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy".

There are three music-related activities that are described in this verse that we can offer to God. We often focus on the last part, 'shout for joy', in that singing in worship to God is the end result of our compositions, arrangements, practices and rehearsals. However, from the verse, these activities are in themselves an offering to God, and we must take them as seriously as we do for worship.

i) Sing to Him a New Song
I believe this refers to compositions we make. This allows us to offer God the results of our creativity, much like how a child might design a drawing for his or her parents. Our compositions are not only acts of creativity, but also personal acts, because we express what we want to say and feel, rather than what another songwriter felt and said before.

To me, creative arrangements of old songs also count under this category. This is because new arrangements inject new life and meaning into old songs, and like before also requires the arranger to offer his or her creative energies unto God.

ii) Play Skillfully
We can also play skillfully as an act of worship for God. Imagine that the president of your country has requested that you play your instrument for him, for perhaps an hour. You would definitely put loads of effort into practice. The same is required for God, except that God is infinitely more important than any person! An excellent God definitely requires our attitude of excellence, and no slipshod work should be permitted.

Also, practicing on our instrument requires a substantial amount of time and effort, and in this way we give our time, time that could be used for maybe computer games and hanging out with our friends, as a sacrifice to God.

I also did a search for the word 'skillfully' in the Bible, and it appears about 4 times only, in Exodus and Leviticus, primarily about weaving garments. In Exodus 28, the priests' waistband is supposed to be 'skillfully woven' (v. 8) in the manner the ephod (another garment) is woven - a garment made of gold, blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen (v.6). Such a garment must indeed require long hours of effort (especially if your clothes had gold on them!), and years of apprenticeship and experience. As a musician for God, you must also be willing to put in such effort and time to play your best for God.

In summary, singing songs to God is not the only music-related action we can offer to Him; we can also offer our creative energies through personalised compositions and arrangements, as well as sacrifice our time and effort to play skillfully for Him.

Faith + Hope + Love - Hillsong's Latest Album

Album information

Recorded LIVE in March 2009, over 3 weekends and locations, the people of Hillsong Church gathered across our city - in their respective campuses - and then united together as ONE in celebration of an ever good and gracious God. Led by the Hillsong worship team including Darlene Zschech, Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston and Hillsong UNITED this album features 13 songs of FAITH in the midst of personal circumstances, HOPE in Jesus for the future, and LOVE – one for another.

Joel Houston was quoted saying:
"Beyond the sound, the rhythm, the art... beyond the strings, the keys, the melodies... beyond the stage, the set, the lights... are the PEOPLE. Ordinary men, women & children, from all walks of life, in all sorts of circumstances and each one with a unique story to tell. This is the Church... and this is Hillsong's 18th Live praise and worship album 'faith+hope+love'. EveryONE together playing their part and lending their voice to the collective story, OUR story. The prayer is that 'Faith+Hope+Love' will breathe the light, love and freedom of Christ into your life, and continue to give expression to what God is doing in and through PEOPLE all over the Earth."

SATAN - The Fallen Worship Leader

The Bible names three angels - Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. The last angel is, of course, better known as Satan. Ps 103:20 tells us that angels are "mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word" - each of these angels represent the various ways we serve God.

Michael is known for being an angel of works, putting into action what is needed to help others ("then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me", Dan 10:13). He is also an angel of warfare ("Michael and his angels fought against the dragon", Rev 12:7), and represents the spiritual battles we fight for others in the community. The second angel is Gabriel, who is known for delivering God's Word. Gabriel is most well known for preparing Mary for Jesus' birth (Luke 1:26-38); he was also called to speak to Daniel about a vision (Dan 8:16).

The last (ex)angel, Lucifer, served God in worship, like many of us. I find it quite uncomfortable to be compared with the devil, but the truth is that we we need to keep on our toes against vanity and pride.

Ezekiel 28:12-14 tells us that Lucifer was a beautiful creature:
"You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.. every precious stone adorned you... Your settings and mountings were made of gold; You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones".

In the same way, musicians can look quite good on stage, and do get quite abit of attention from their friends. I do get abit of 'fame' in church, from people recognising (recognising, not admiring!) me from playing the guitar. When I meet friend's friends in church, I'm always introduced as the guy who plays the guitar on stage, like its something cool.

The attention can get to one's head, as was with the devil:
"Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor" (Eze 28:17).

Satan himself has walked down the path of pride, and tempting people into self-glorification could very well be his most powerful weapon against us. After all, it was what led to the first sin and the separation between man and God. As a result, musicians are very exposed to his temptations. We must guard our hearts and minds, and constantly walk down the path of humility. We must also see ourselves not as musicians, or worse, rock stars, but first and foremost servants of the Lord.

Look forward not to your friends' praises, but to the Lord's delight in you. James 4:10 tells us to "humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you". Imagine finally coming before the throne of God - seeing His glory, we prostrate in unworthiness before Him. Yet, God comes to us, brings us back to our feet, and tells us that He is proud of us, for putting Him before our pride. Just as Ps 84:10 writes that "better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere", better is one word of praise from the Lord than to have fame amongst the multitudes.

On a more practical level, here are two tips:
  • The small things matter. There's alot of 'menial' work in the ministry, like hauling amps and mixers around. You might also feel reluctant to serve for smaller services, like prayer meetings. Take up your cross and serve in these areas wholeheartedly.
  • Deflect & avoid attention. Sometimes, my friends say I 'perform' on stage. I usually tell them, light-heartedly of course, that I prefer to use the word 'serving'. Also, don't do anything that gets you too much attention on stage, e.g. running to the front during a guitar solo.
Do drop a comment if you've more to share!

------

To add - many of you were wondering if its a problem if you jump around etc. out of a sincere heart of worship to the Lord. 1 Sam 16:7 says that "The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart". As the Lord looks at your heart of worship, rest assured your actions are fine.

But you will also need to consider how this affects the congregation. Certain actions, like jumping wildly or bombastic solos, could distract worshippers. 1 Cor 10:32 tells us: "do not cause anyone to stumble". We should abide by this, and ensure that while our hearts might be right with God, we should not be a distraction to others.
