What If... I Have Been Invited To A Catholic Mass?

This is the second article that I have written. Enjoy. God bless

What is a mass? Is it the same as our Sunday service? Are we allowed to go to a mass? I've been invited to a mass, what should I do?

A mass is the celebration of the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the central act of the Catholic worship and the remembrance of the Last Supper. It is a tradition that evolved from rome. There is nothing wrong with joining a mass if we will not compromise. We can be there but just make sure that we are not joining in the spirit but WHY WOULD YOU JOIN A MASS!?

The mass is very traditional, they pray and sing songs for the statues inside the church. We do not object with its traditionalism but the bible says that we should worship Him in spirit and in truth. A simple tradition does not make any sense in worshiping in truth. We have our very own service where we can worship God in spirit and in truth. Worshiping comes form the heart and not in traditional chants. We do not criticize the Catholic church but we are just making it clear that joining them (in spirit) is wrong.

I was invited once to join a mass by a friend. At first I refused (siempre naman). But if it is an opportunity to open his mind to the truth, I will. Remember that you can join him/her if you have THE OPPORTUNITY TO LET HIM KNOW GOD. It is said in Proverbs 3:27: "Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act (NIV)". Go to a mass but do not participate (especially in the spirit). Remember to settle your limitations and do it for God. After it you can tell him about the truth that lies behind the reality. You can now show him the difference of being a real Christian from being a Catholic. It can be an opportunity to bring someone to the Lord.

Final words. I do not urge everyone to go to a mass, all I just wanna say is going to the mass is nothing wrong if you do not participate in the spirit. Baka naman lahat kayo ay magpunta na sa misa, wala akong sinasabing ganyan (LOL).  Remember that our God is Spirit and we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. God bless.
